TOKYU KABUKICHO TOWER operated by TST Entertainment Inc. (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yoshinori Togo), provides a wide range of entertainment content for both domestic and international visitors, contributing to the realization of Kabukicho as a “global entertainment city”.

The countdown event “2026 NEW YEAR’S EVE KABUKICHO” was held from December 31, 2025, to January 1, 2026 at the adjacent Kabukicho Cine City Plaza where an outdoor countdown production was staged using a large-scale screen. This year, the countdown featured visuals inspired by the iconic G-SHOCK 5600 series, and as the screen displayed the final countdown to midnight, approximately 6,000 people gathered from Japan and abroad welcomed the New Year together in an energetic and unified atmosphere.

As the excitement of the countdown continued, the crowd was met with a surprise appearance by Atarashii Gakko!, a globally acclaimed dance and music group. They performed two songs, including their hit track “Otona Blue”, “Tokyo Calling” and “Sailor, Sail On,” the theme song of the animated film Meikyu no Shiori, scheduled for theatrical release on January 1, 2026.The plaza erupted in cheers, creating an unforgettable New Year’s moment for attendees.

In addition to the outdoor celebration, a variety of countdown events were held throughout the facility, allowing guests to enjoy the New Year in multiple ways.At the nightclub ZEROTOKYO, British dubstep and house music icon SKREAM took to the stage, delivering a world-class music experience.The powerful performance and interaction with the audience drove the energy inside the venue to its peak, marking a spectacular start to the New Year.
